Parents Meeting Minutes

West ForsythTouchdown Club

May 17, 2010

Coach Hepler Welcome and Announcements

• Coach reminded everyone the scrimmage will run from ap. 5:45 to 6:45
• BBQ will follow scrimmage. This is for parents, players, coaches, and families.
• Construct A Burger will supply the food for the BBQ.
• Coach Hepler reminded parents that they are welcome to attend all practices.
• If parents or players have any questions feel free to email or call him. Email and phone number is on the website.
• Workouts start June 1^st. Players are allowed to miss 5 workouts plus the dead week at the week of the 4^thof July. Check the calendar on the website.
• West Football Camp runs from June 22^ndto 24^th. 6 to 9pm.
• Make sure players bring tennis shoes in case of inclement weather. Practice will be held in the gym if the weather does not permit the use of the field.
• Freshmen players will receive equipment in mid July after the dead period.   

Introduction of Board Members

• Jeff Antolik introduced the board members. 

Committee Chairs Update (Lee Edenfield)

• Still in need of “Game Day Program” Chair
• Volunteers needed
• Scouting upcoming teams
• Spotter for plays during games for announcer
• Reminded parents to make sure that their info was in to the board for notification of events. 

Community Involvement Opportunities (Jeff Antolik)

• 10 Volunteers for Venetian Hills Elem School in Atlanta(Saturday, May 22^nd)
• Homes for Our Troops (in June)
• Midway Packer Football Player Mentor Program
• Field Day will be July 24^thand 25^th. We need lots of volunteers.
• Carpool Email program is in the works for summer workouts to help parents get the players to the school. 

Fund Raising (Bill Porter & Jeff Antolik)

• Successful Golf Tournament
• Card Sales June 1^stthrough June 19^th
• Car Wash (TBD in July)
• Team Poster with Schedule and Sponsors
• Monday night dinner and coaches talk during season on Mondays
• Sponsorships can go on year round.
• July 1^stis the cutoff for sponsors to have their signs up at the field for the season.
